There are a variety of clear resin glues with a wide range of uses on the market, including composite laminate resins, floor coating resins, table coating resins and casting resins.

Ⅱ. The applications of clear resin glue

When combined with reinforcing fibers or fabrics, clear resin glue has two main uses.

1. The clear resin glue fixes the reinforced fabric together and helps it conform to the required shape.

2. The clear resin glue helps to transfer the mechanical load from a single fiber or fiber bundle to the entire part. Although the reinforcing fibers provide the main strength for the laminate, the role of the clear resin glue is to transfer the load to the entire fiber array, which is critical to the overall strength and stability of the part.

For composite laminates, three main types of clear resin glues are used in the production of parts and molds, including polyester, vinyl ester, and epoxy. Each resin has its own advantages and disadvantages, which should be considered before starting any application.
